The Alum House is located just 50 yards from Thomas Telford"s iron bridge over the River Severn and is ideally placed for miles of riverside walks along both the Severn & Avon. Boat launching is nearby and you may use our moorings and fishing rights, if you wish.

It is but a short walk of about a quarter mile to the edge of Tewkesbury and the first of many pubs/restaurants; a further walk of similar length takes you to the centre of this historic town. The famous TEWKESBURY ABBEY is exactly one mile away.

Of course, The Alum House is well placed as a centre for touring - A short list includes CHELTENHAM shopping, Sudeley Castle, Cotswold Farm Park, Snowshill Manor, Royal Worcester Porcelain factory and the pretty villages and towns such as STANWAY/STANTON, OVERBURY, BROADWAY, BOURTON ON THE WATER,CHIPPING CAMDEN AND STOW ON THE WOLD. There are several GOLF COURSES nearby - one less than a mile away.

The Alum House owns two seats at Tewkesburys ROSES THEATRE/CINEMA (Row N 14 & 15). We can reserve these for you, and arrange payment with you. Please ask us for a Brochure if you are interested.

The Alum House is just a few minutes from the M5/M50 junction. Tewkesbury now has its own Railway Station at ASHCHURCH & Bus 41 will bring you to the High Street (Boots Chemists), just half a mile from The Alum House. Alternatively, arrangements can be made for you to be picked up there should you not be travelling here by car.
